WHAT YOU NEED: measuring cup, 1 can Barbasol shaving cream, 4-ounce bottle of Elmer’s Glue-All, large glass bowl, large spoon.
WHAT TO DO:
1. Fill the measuring cup with one cup Barbasol shaving cream. Spoon the shaving cream into the mixing bowl.
2. Empty the bottle of Elmer’s Glue-All into the mixing bowl.
3. With the spoon, whip the glue and shaving cream together. Mold whatever you want out of the mixture. Let set overnight to dry.
WHAT HAPPENS: The mixture solidifies into foam.
WHY IT WORKS: Whipping the shaving cream and the glue together essentially fills the polyvinyl acetate molecules in the glue with air-filled soap lather. The glue dries filled with millions of tiny cells of air, much like foam rubber.
